"One of the Glee writers once said that Lea and I were like two sides of the same battery and that about sums us up. Her rivalry with Michele was real-but a tad overblown. Here are the juiciest revelations from Sorry Not Sorry:ġ. Tuesday, "I still have scars, but they aren't gushing blood anymore." In fact, as she told E! News at La Piazza at The Grove in L.A. Rivera has no regrets about spilling the tea her fellow stars. But she also reveals details about a number of celebrities, including Glee's Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Mark Salling, as well as rapper Big Sean and singer Ariana Grande. In her newly published memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up, the 29-year-old actress writes about personal matters, like her secret abortion and her high school boob job. It was the first point in the book where it felt like she was relatable and I really felt like she had been through something tragic.Tell us how you really feel, Naya Rivera. The only redeeming piece of the book was when she was describing her abortion and the difficulty of it. Many of us have been there too, and you don't see us writing books about it.

With some advice from your parents, you got out of debt. She's not even particularly brilliant in her revelations.

She's not more special for them, just because she was a child actress. These are the same mistakes that teenagers and young adults have been making for a veryyyy long time. But the way she describes them and the way she overcame them is like she's the first one to ever make them and like she's giving us these amazing revelations/answers. What could Naya Rivera have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you? I'm all for confidence, but there should be more self-awareness. I wish I hadn't spent a credit on this, or that I'd contributed to her big headed idea that she's somehow still relevant. Not so much, she's just a normal girl thinking she's really got talent. I was hoping this would be a deeper exploration into her upbringing and that she had somehow overcome HUGE odds and it might make me think that she's more than just a bland actress. She brags so hard that it was painful to listen to, especially during her child-actor years. What would have made Sorry Not Sorry better?Ī little more humility.
